Ok, now I'm confused...I have been doing it just like I did with long range rifleshooting. I take the farthest left shot to the farthest right shot or highest shot to lowest shot, whichever is greater and measure from center of shaft to center of shaft. Is this right or wrong?

What is the correct amount of arrows to shoot to consider it a group in archery? I have always done 5 shot groups. When a person says group in archery do you guys think of 12 arrows or 5?

Actually -- right or wrong -- I think of three-shot groups measured like Gibblet said: Measuring how much distance is between the two arrow which are farthest away from one another.

And I really wasn't calling BS; I was honestly saying you need to start shooting some Pro-Am events or something like that and start working your way towards some national events or something.

This thread wasn’t supposed to be about my accuracy, but I want to clarify a few things so it will make more since.

My draw length has been adjusted by a local “well known” shooter in our area to fit me within ¼ of an inch to find what spot I held the steadiest, plus still touching all my anchor points. My Scott WildCat release is set at a hairpin trigger pull. Arrow rest was set to be dead on within 1/32 of an inch in both vertical and horizontal positions for these arrows only. The 5 arrows I selected out of the dozen are all within 1 grain weight of each other. 4 inch VaneTec vanes at 2 degree off-set are stiff and stable. On-Target 2 shows that my arrows are right in the center of green band of the spine match tab with my arrows at 29.5 inches, but the FOC was too light at 6.5% which was fine when my bow was at 65 pounds, but the accuracy went to crap at 70 pounds. When I took off the 100 grain tips and put the 125 grain tips on, I got my 60 yard accuracy back again with a 8.5% FOC. I kept tuning/syncing my cables until I got best accuracy. I place a bright white small sticker in the center of target and go at it with my .029 pins.

All of the above listed items is what I give credit to the accuracy. I took a couple lessons from a local pro so I wouldn’t develop any bad habits and that was it. I listened and followed ever detail he told me. Honestly this bow holds so steady with draw length being adjusted just right, the results just fall into place. I’m not trying to give myself any credit and I’m not really doing anything special. That’s why I get on this web sight and post all my excitement for my gear of choice because I have seen the results from a new shooter such as myself. I don’t know what you guys are getting out of your shorter axle to axle bows, but this bow should not be over looked for those who plan to take longer shots and have the KE to pull it off.
