Hoyt v tec making a clicking sound
I have owned my v tec for about two months, roughly 500 shots, and recently it has started meking a clicking or ticking sound when I begin to draw. It only clicks once or twice and only when I start to draw. I think it is coming from the upper cam, not 100% sure on that. Does anyone have any idea as to what this may be and how to fix it. Thanks Ash

Not sur ewhat woudl be causing it, not sure if theres bearings in thoes cams or not. maybe oil the cams and see if it goes away. I shoot a pse and havent hand any noise from my cams.

Look and the "new bow question" thread. I 'think' all hoyts have sealed bearing cams...and if its the same as the problem in the other thread, go the same route he did (have felt put on the cam/string where it is "nocking")

Another thing to check, I have seen sting wax create a similar affect. What happens is the wax build up in the cam groove will stick to your string & creates a mini vacum type of situation and creates a popping sound.

If it's not the problem stated above it could be the limbs. I had to take mine apart and lube the limbs and limb pockets to get rid of a clicking/creaking noise the bow developed after a 100 shots or so. It' actually an all to common problem with the new Hoyts.
