Bowstring Question.
I am getting ready to change my bow string that is in reality a little overdue. The problem is what length to get to allow for strech and all. On my bow set up, ready to go, the string is 36 1/4" long. As always, any and all help will be greatly appreciated. Again thanks in advance.

RE: Bowstring Question.
Smoky, I'd recommend going to your bowshop, they should be able
to help you. If not, contact the manufacturer of your bow. What
kind of bow are you shooting? I'd be willing to bet someone here
can help you out with your string length if they know what bow
you're shooting.

RE: Bowstring Question.
Smoky, you want the manufacturers recommended length for your string, not the length the string is currently at. Chances are the string has creeped and this in turn can cause havoc (Hoyt pun) with the tunability of your bow. And I agree with Two Beards.

RE: Bowstring Question.
You want to take the length thats on the little sticker on the back of your bottom limb. When u put it on, just measure it after you've warmed it up(rubbing your fingers on it to warm it up, this will make it stretch a tid bit) Then, before your put it on, twist it clockwise untill your about a half an inch shorter than the original string length, this will allow for stretch.

RE: Bowstring Question.
Get ahold of WINNERS CHOICE! Their strings are some of the best in the business and they don't stretch or move your peep out of position! They will also know what lengths your bow requires.
