Default first turkey mount

After doing a good job on a deer last winter I want to try a full strut turkey I just got opening day. Should I get a body mold or will the old wraped twig methored be better? I have the cape drying now with salt and boraox. It looks good and the feathers seem tight after one night. Thanx for any input. I have one book but is is very bland on how to. And how do you get the feathers to stick up on the body. I saw something about caulking. Thanx!

A full strut turkey is a TOUGH mount for you first. Getting the feathers fluffed properly (shingled) requires a lot of time and effort....not to mention a good understanding on how to do it.

Good luck!!!!!
