Default European Mount

I shot a 12 pointer in 2004. At the time I didn't think it would be big enough to mount so I cut the antlers off. I hung the skull in a tree at the farm and wrapped it in chicken wire. It has been hanging there since. The skin is all wrinkled up and the matter inside is gone. Can I salvage this skull and try to reattach the antlers for a European mount or can this head be mounted using a from and another cape.

Thanks

I do alot of european mounts with bucks that are not what I would call a wall hanger, and I like them alot. If you decide to do another european mount, try leaving the antlers on.-lol, hope it turns out nice what ever you decide to do!

if you have to, you can rehydrate the dryed skin by soaking it in a bucket of water to make the bigger layers peel off easier.
