how would you go about skinning a rabbit? doing it the "sock" way or just skinning it away from the stomach. im still not sure how to skin like say a fox the sock way though so i think i need some help with that. thanks

If you are going to mount it then up the belly past the rib cage and up both legs. Do the same with the back legs. This will make it easier to fit it on the form after it is tanned. Then u can sew it right up.
If you are just going to keep a rabbit pelt then you're going to want to case him. Hang him up by his back legs and cut around his ankles. Then cut across to the other leg. Thencarefully pull the pelt down towards his nose cutting away the membrane that holds the pelt to the body. Be careful when you get to the ears and eyes to cut close to the skull. Pull the pelt of the end of the nose and you are ready to flesh and tan.
