Turn 'em out with a pack of deer dogs on some deer. If they have been running rabbits already they might always run a rabbit if they jump one. But they will probably run deer once they get a taste of running deer with a good pack.

just take them to where you hunt and find a deer and put them on it.they will run,do this every time you take them out.
I have trained my puppies to run by putting them on rabbits to start, then put them on visible deer. they may want to run rabbits once and a while ,but if they know what you want they will run the deer.
I have a couple that a friend gave me,he only hunts rabbits.once they stare on deer it is hard to stop them.
I am not a hunter I am a whitetail population reduction specialest
remember keep your back to the sun, your knife sharp, and your powder dry.
