Too Old to Breed??
I have a female beagle that will be 10 yrs old in the middle of January. Recently it hit me that her days may be numbered and that maybe I should think about getting a new pup or two. My 10yr old has been a very good dog and the possibility of having another litter of pups out of her has crossed my mind. Is 10 too old for her to have another litter?? She is in very good shape and health as far as I know. I realize I should actually contact my vet before I go forward but I was just wondering if any of you had any experience with such an issue.

RE: Too Old to Breed??
as long as you say she is in good health,we have breed several times with the bitch being 9,10 and even once at 11 years old.just watch her when it is time and don't let her get to excited around that time.
contact your vet and have her checked out.only a few bucks and will put your mind at ease.good luck on the litter.
I am not a hunter I am a whitetail population reduction specialest
remember keep your back to the sun, your knife sharp, and your powder dry.
