While wearing a shoulder hunting pack...always --- at least ---- clip the pack's waist or chest belt together. I don't usually clip the chest belt together, because it interferes with my breathing. If you don't...just by the chance that you trip over something --- the pack can possibly take-off flying over your shoulders, arms and head; with the shoulder straps knocking off anything that you have clutching in you're hands --- including your gun or bow.

I know...because it happened too me, when I tripped over a knocked down --- hidden by weeds --- barbed wire fence.
