way down for me here in MS[:'(]
Closing in on 100hrs in stand, 29 deer sightings, no deer at all on over 75% of all hunts.
Climbed a tree 40 times........ Shot 2 does with the bow, only 2 does I've had in range all year.
100hrs in stand in MS = 4 deer in bowrange
30hrs in stand in IL = 1 deer in bowrange
I'm ready for it to be over, start fresh next season...........

Sorry some of you have had a rough season. I am not a bigtime deer hunter but go every year during modern gun and occasionally with the bow. I saw more quality bucks this year than I ever have. I took a large 9 pt during gun season here in Ky. 23 1/2" inside spread and there were 4 other quaity bucks taken off the same place. We've seen numerous 8's and a 10 on occasion and one who appears to be larger than all of them since the gun season closed. Hopefully next year will be a good one too.
I've seen good numbers of deer while birdhunting this fall and winter.
I thought there were supposed to be good numbers in central Alabama. What happened? The state ain't releasing them mt. lions is it. Those cats can eat some deer.

We did not kill near the number of deer that we usually kill. But I saw plenty of deer and saw some nice ones, we just did not kill them. I think we are only mounting 4 or 5 this year.
