RE: Florida Hunters
I got a hog and a spike buck from the green swamp. The spike was taken this year. I don't want to share all my secrets but heres a couple.
1 learn to use a call effectively
2 get the Tera Server satellite map and study the various cypress domes looking especially for smaller islands to find where they are crossing
3get away from ther other hunters

Read the regs closer. If someone is paddling then that canoe is underway. All motion is to be stopped. A sailboat? the sails must be furled and forward motion must be stopped.

Hi benhuntin, hunted Aucilla for over ten years. Use to camp at the Fla. Forestry campground
on the bank of New Port river on hwy 98,use to be $2.00 a day. Then Wakulla county took over
and went to $9.00 a day.We used to go to Wal-Mart in Tallahassee to pick up needs.
Hunted only deer there.
Hunted Perry for hogs,with dogs, for 11yrs straight.Every Thanksgiving 4 day week-end.
The last few years belonged to hunting club in Madison county, next to San Pedro WMA.
Been to Crawfordville many times, love that area!
Benhuntin-nice chating with you.Brought back alot of Memories!!!

I had leases in Florida for about 30 years. About 6 years ago we gave up our last lease. We hunted mostly hogs and turkeys. We now lease in Alabama.
Being that far away killed the every weekend hunting camp lifestyle but the weather and excellent whitetail hunting in Alabama made up for it. I am older now and have more time and finances to spend a lot of time in AL. Additionally technology allows me to work while out of town so I can be gone and still keep things going as if I am in town. I miss the old Florida camp life but really enjoy my hunting season in Alabama. I live in Southwest Florida so development and population growth as pretty much made hunting here a no go. Our last lease was on a ranch south of Lake O. Great hog lease and about an Hour and a half drive from my house. 9 hr ride now to Alabama.
