Info on Florida Hunting

Everybody's tryin to keep the Florida secret! I like that. I tell my relatives up north all the time that it never gets below 95 degrees and the humidiy is 100% all year long. That way maybe we can stop the ant farm subdivisions from taking just about every drop of Blackwater Jungle we have left to hunt in. I love when they tellme the bucks are the size of dogs! Then I usually send them a picture of this dog and tell them to please send me a pic of their dog from this year!

Guys,
While it is certainly a very exciting time for our friend who is moving from the Northeast dowwn to FL, lets keep a few things in perspective. Do we want to welcome him? Sure. No problem with that at all. But, we need to let him know and make it clear that we do not tolerate certain things down here in Florida.
Am I right guys? Who here wants another Yankee living in South Florida?

for all that don't know, i was joking about no deer in florida. as mentioned above, florida has some FINE hunt'n. it's just harder to hunt florida because of the terrain and elements...but you can't tell anyone that. like bigboar said, no matter what you tell people, they all believe our deer are sickly and little. you just have to know where to go to get the big boys....

this buck was killed by me (holding the rifle) last hunting season in lake county, florida. he was an 8 point weighing in at 150 pounds with a 17 1/2 inch spread.

Camo
I knew you were joking.
I remembered your picture from last year. I'm chasing a fine Florida buck myself. If I wasn't an honest hunter I could of got him last year but wasn't daylight yet. Florida does take skill though when hunting in those public places. You need to hike a good piece away from the others and try to score in archery season.
By the way I'm a yankee too. Came here in 81 to go to Bible college. Actually Mason and Dixon line Maryland.
