No..I do not have 4 wheel drive. I understand the roads are much better than Richloam. They are solid hard roads , at least Powder and Main. Three Mile Run is sandy in spots and Tram is narrow with pot holes. Because of all the recent rains be careful pulling off the road. when parking your vehicle.

I wish I could help ya score. Like most have said...the game is everywhere. I was out there today. The main roads are fine and there are places to pull over. I walked about 1 mile off the main road that borders a farm. I heard stuff but saw nothing. There are a few differnet ranches that surround the Green Swamp. I did see a legal spike buck jump a fence off of Rock ridge about 1/2 mile before the Green Swamp gate. 5:00AM LOL. I'm actually still learning myself. This is only my forth year out there. I only hunt during the week to advoid the crowds.

For me...Powder Grade is the best but TOO WET right now; so I'm hunting on the south side of the 3 bridges past the check in station off of Rockridge. I know that area real good. However; when it's not so wet Powder is my spot.

"what do you mean by wet when it comes to powder??? like standing water or holes or what??? i'm planning on coming out there sometime after the first of the year. "

When you come off main unto Powder...it is hard and solid. The road is kind of narrow. Two vehicles can juuuust get by. When you continue to drive about 3 miles up powder and around it begins getting very sanding.{ Fine white sand 6" high ,}I will not drive it. It continues to go into a big circle turning into 3 mile run and then Tanic where it meets up with Main again. So POwder is one big circle about 6 miles.I mostly hunt the very 1st 2 miles of Powder. The road is fine there and plenty of hogs and deer. the trick...finding themThe wetness. The area there is very flat and with the much rain the water just lays there. Water is mostly about 6"-12" deep. I've got nice Lacrosse rubber boots and my feet stay dry. However ...the hogs and deer will be in the bayheads. Tha twater is over my boots easy.{ The reason I'm not hunting it}SO far today since the last week of Sept. 10 deer killed and 49 hogs. Very sad.

i'm not big on rattling, but it has worked for me in the past. as far as the rut goes, it's at different times throughout the state. i believe the rut is over here in the central part of the state. when i shot by buck this last november, he was chasing doe's...but i think it was a post rut. his neck wasn't swollen but his tarsal's were jet black and stunk. he was also still hit'n scrapes on a regular basis. below is a picture of that buck with me and my dad..

Nice deer, looks like around Flying Eagle or around Henando, Pasco co by the trees LOL but could be anywhere in cent' fla

I went to the Green Swamp today. I can't give away all of my secrets but I walked until I found hogs,Two miles...great signs and a bunch tore the palmettoes getting away from me. Here are some pictures. The last will be a nice fresh trail. My stand and I will be there tomorrow. Takes 40 min. to get there on foot.I took a picture of the "Wetness"
