Default Call Selection For Winter Coyotes?

I was wondering what you have experienced/had success with in winter coyote calling. I have an Extreme Dimension and It has numerous calls on it. I usually use the Howl and rabbit squeal. I'm guessing the coyote pups doesn't work until spring when they have pups? I have many calls. Which would work the best?? Good hunting, - Buckhunter14

Your pup distress will work this time of year, as well as most distress sounds. It is a myth that you have to use the sounds that you would normally hear at a certain time or certain place. I have friend in Idaho that is using a squeeling pig distress this winter and is have very good success with it. There aren't any pigs with in 100's of miles of his calling area! Try different sounds at differnt times, they all won't work all of the time, but they all will work some time!
