What about a nef handi rifle in 243 for deer and fox and coyote.

I admit, i have taken a shot at a yote with a .22 in the past, but thankfully missed because I realized that had a hit it i probably would have just hurt it and not kill it. I don't remember the range but doesn't matter now because its not an good yote gun period. Trail by error but lesson learned.

What is this? Don't you have any laws about which guns you can use on different game in America? If you shoot a game in size like a yote with 22lr in sweden you can be put in prison. We don't have any yotes in Sweden but I mean game in the size of a yote. In sweden we have different levels on our guns depending on energy of the bullet at a specific range and each of our four levels contain the game you can shoot with that gun. In Sweden 22lr is in the 4th level which is the lowest and you can only shoot small game as crows, rabbits and stuff like that. It's really a good system which controls which weapon can be used on different games.

Yes we have plenty. However these laws vary between the 50 states. Since jdeerhunter270 is asking the question if this round is good for fox and coyotes, it might be legal in his state, but that does not make it ethical. I would consider it a poor decision to use a rimfire on fox or yotes.

The only rimfire that u may consider would be a . 17 and then again shot placement is key i have seen many coyotes killed actually 77 in one year and i have hunted them for 3 years and watched them be hunted my whole life ..... i have only been able to hunt for 3 years ...... but if u want a fox and coyote gun i reccamend a .220 swift or a .22-250.... myself i use an over-under 12 gauge 3.5 mag !

Just thought I would put my two cents in. I'm going to agree with the previous and say that if you had to use a rimfire..use a .17. at least then IF your an awsome shot....you'd have a chance. 22-250, 223...take your pick. Personally I don't like to see things suffer. Here it is legal to use a small caliber rifle for a few things that woudn't nessecarily go down quick from it. Just something to think about....

I normally use a 30'06 for anything bigger than a fox, but I have killed 2 coyoes with a .22lr shooting cci stingers, both were clean kills, however both were also within 50 yards.
