Even a 22 mag isnt usualy recommended for coyote hunting. Step up to a 223 remington for a cheap, accurate round.

yes you could but i would use the 22 man my mag works good up to bout 150 yards

A .22 mag is not a 150 yard gun regardless of what your shooting, especially a coyote... Show the game some respect son, use something that will give them a quick death, not something they will have to limp around with the rest of their lives!!!

Don't ever ask yourself why the Anti's have a bad outlook on real hunters, when your spewing crap like using a .22 mag for coyotes at 150 yards....

You are definatley undergunned using a .22 lr or .22 magnum. Step-up to a .223, as recommended in a previous post, so you won't look like a beginner!

Don't use a .22lr for coyotes. It will not get the job done. I shoot coyotes
and fox that I trap with a .22 and they do not die real quickly. That's
with a head shot at close range. Use a .223, .243, 22-250, or a 12 gauge
with buckshot. Remember you are there to kill the animal humanely not
just hurt him.

Agreed, and a 22 mag will not do that every time. Of course these wont either unless you do your part with shotplacement and use loads rated for the game you hunt.

i usually club em with my 7mm rem mag she seems to lay em down lol. Just a little too much damage to the body. I really need to invest in a 22-250 but i'm goin to have to wait till i'm done university. As for the 22 on yotes ya it ain't goin to happen, you need more jam than that to get the job done. a 7mm is definate overkill but its all i own larger than my 22 so i'm stuck with it till i can buy myself something else....
