I usually use a Remington 870 express 12 ga. This way I can get the ones running through the trees or across the ground. Sometimes I take the .22, that's when I feel like I have to practice a little for deer season. Seeing and stalking squirrels is great practice for when it comes to deer.

I prefer to use a 22lr, but while I was stationed at Ft knox, I had 2 use a shotgun on post, so out came my grandpas old Model 12 16 gauge. had lots of luck with it, and now I know why they call the Model 12 one of the sweetest handling shotguns...

i've allways used a 22' LR with a 4X scope for my squirrel hunts and that works the best for me.
I used to use a pellet gun,but if you don't drop'em in the first shot it's hard to reload in time to kill it.
my friends use 410's to get them
there's a fine line between hunting, and just sitting there looking confused
