RE: bobcat hunting
Very true,i would have to say there one of our most beautiful predators. I was lucky enough to get 2 this year with a bow and muzzeloader while deer hunting.Trapping is effective if you can locate them and cover yourself up good.Calling is also good if they are in the area at the time.

RE: bobcat hunting
Come to CA...we have lots of bobcats down here in southern california. I've taken 3 alone in the forest within Los Angles county this season. My last one I took in San Bernardino county. I have one more tag left. 5 tags per year for around $10.00 in this state ain't too bad.
I use a mouth or electronic caller and get them to within "bow & arrow" range. I hit them with either my .22 win mag, or a 12 ga shotgun with #2 bird shot. I've used #4 buck at ranges of about 25 yards. Only hit them with 1-3 pellets and there is minimal pelt damage.
They love to come in to a dying or distressed bird call. I use the Johnny Stewart "distressed woodpecker". works bitchen!
