Default Squirrels

How many squirrels did ya'll kill this season?2008/2009 was my first year hunt n.I got 37 gray squirrels no fox squirrels.Are there fox squirrels in St Clair and Calhoun County Alabama?Cause' I ain't never seen one.

Around 100, usally don't start hunting them until Labor Day weekend, I like when the are cutting hickory nuts.

In Alabama,squirrel season is October 1-February 28.Do you have to wait until the 1st frost to kill the woofs (I think thats right)in the squirrels before you can eat them?

I don't remember, but I shot 3 black squirrels.

Our season opens Memorial weekend and closes February 15th so I really doubt the frost has anything to do with it.

True, in that case I use my, Colt Defense m4 carbine, 5.56 with FMJ's.
