Sportsmans Guide carries a brand called Quikshok in .22 LR . This round features a slug that separates into 3 pieces on impact creating 3 separate wound channels . Put it in the head or lungs and the coon goes down .

if your looking for quiet we used cci shorts..wed hunt in peoples back yards and never have a problem...quieter than a air gun....may take an extra shot if you dont get the first one good but we shot countless coons with them..our normal round was cci mini mags i think....they are a bit louder and have more power but a good hit with the shorts will do it if you need quietness....i dont know if they will function in a 10/22....i doubt it..you can shot them single shoted i bet...bit they will probally not work out of a magazine....just about any round you can shoot will work for coons....a shot to the head with just about anything is going to send them down most of the time...but ive seen super coons you could shoot with a 12ga slug and theyd stay up there.....theres always the ones with the will to live....but you have a semi...you can get a second where it counts before they know what hit them the first time....we always used a single shot and the second shot was usually after he was majorly pi**ed off and coming down the tree lol....man i miss coon hunting..i hope we move out of this city soon! but i doubt it....soon enough i will have my own house and my own hounds....

Use CCI Stinger or mini-mag and definately hollow point. I have two 10/22 rifles and this amo shoots clean and straight. Great accuracy

I' ve had misfire problems with the CCI Stingers in my 10-22 , so I switched to Wildcat Stingers and the probs disappeared . Very clean shooting , accurate , and they seem to have a better punch than CCI .
