predator hunting hurt deer hunting?
Hey guys, just looking for some input. We have a lot of pred/varm. on our deer lease. We want to remove as many as possible. Do you feel that the extra "hunting pressure" spooks the deer out of the area for next year? I don't anticipate shooting a lot or "over hunting" the area but I don't want to disturb the deer patterns. Thanks for the help.

No it doesn't hurt, for every coyote you kill you are saving at least one fawn and several rabbits and turkey. Two years ago while deer hunting I shot a coyote from my deer stand, not five minutes later there was several does and a small buck in the feild with me and the dead coyote, during gun season deer dont pay attention to gunfire unless it's in their area where they can hear it good. You may or may not spook them away for a little while but if this area has a food source and bedding area that they hang out in,then you killing some predators will only make their lives a little easier come fawning season.I would kill every predator I could and you will save several deer lives for seasons to come.
