Im in the market for a new small game rifle, up to coyote sized game. Im looking at a savage 93F in .22wmr. I know it will kill coyotes, but will it put a coyote down consistently out at say 50yds? Thanks.

I think out to 50 yards a 22 mag will drop a yote with a head or a heart lung shot, with the right bullets. Being a small caliber bullet placement would be important.

I agree with Dan, if you can keep the shots at 50 yards and less and don't get sloppy in shot placement, the little .22 mag. will do the rest, consistantly.

Yes but, you may want a rifle that you can get out more than 50 yards. I would think about at least a 223, or my fav, the 204. Why limit yourself to 50 yards when you can spend a few more bucks and reach out another couple hundred yards plus ,,,Just a thought.
