manwithaplan, if you're sneaking up on coyotes and getting close enough to shoot 'em with a shotgun, you're darn good at sneakin'! How many of them have you done this on?

Howler its not to hard in thick cover if the snow is powder and the wind is in the right direction. One thing I should have mentioned if you are where you figure to be close to the yotes you can set-up and call them in. If they are near and hear howling they will be in. Another thing to do is use multiple guys and push coyote from cover if there tracks going in. As far as how many I've done this to I have lost track its a bunch. Here in Wisconsin there is 3 methods for killing coyotes most guys use, tracking/driving usually a big group of guys, calling, and withdogs all 3 methods work. It might not work so well in more open areas like colorado.

The snow is so deep it is literally up to my crotch to walk through. How should I try to call coyotes in this mess? Should I stay down low where the snow is thinner, or try calling in pines? Is trying to call right now even worth it.. I mean I figure they are hungry as all heck but I honestly dont think they can even get to the food in this deep of powdery snow.. Any help on this one?

Hey jake, Hows it goin? Call me this weekend and we can go hunting. We are getting a few more inches of snow today, which is good for yotes.

Perhaps cloning does really work???? I figure at any moment someone will start talking about skinning coyotes with sharp sticks. But until then I will keep enjoying the "making up lies" part of the southwestern ohio dynamictag teamssignature
