I've been reading all these .223 vs 22-250 threads and whats best for coyote and bla bla bla

This is my CZ 527 Varmint in .223. with the heavey barrel

I got it to shoot prairie dogs and coyotes. Its got the wrap on it right now for coyote hunting but it's got a pretty blonde maple stock.

i've taken prairie dogs beyond 350 yards my farthest was 368 (I love rangfinders)

So lets see'em guys
I've heard that anything restrictive which is mounted around the barrel and stock can have a negative effect on accuracy. How tight is the wrap and have you shot groups with and without to test accuracy?

Here is my Savage Stevenms 200 in 22-250 with a Tasco Target Varmint 2.5-10x42mm mildot, haven't developed a load yet but have to start for upcoming p-dog season!
Ijust boughtthe same rifle and caliber. Still going through barrel break-in. I don't have as powerful scope but don't know if I need since most of my shots will be under 200 yards. I like your set-up. Keep me posted on your hand loads. I haven't convinced myself to jump into the cost of starting loading and I don't know if I have the room. What kind of accuracy are you getting from factory loads? What brand and etc are you using and did you shoot a lot to make the decision on which one to use?

BTW - that was the entrance hole, he was quartering away from me running and that is where the bullet hit, never did exit.

16" Varmint RRA (sold)

My 10/22 before Carbon Fiber Barrel, Hogue over molded stock, scope that is pictured on the AR above.

Also use a Remington 700 ADL in 243, Mini14 for spray an pray days, and a few others...
Rammer: What kind of critter is in the photo of you and the Tikka? Looks like a Yote w/mange.

Rammer: You did that Yote a favor and put it out of it's missery. Glad to see you didn't hold him up by the tail.

nice gun, I like the stock. The scope is ok, It holds its zero and the optics are ok, so it serves its purpose. I did have a problem after i sighted it in i was going to reset the trajectory turet back to zero, the little hex screws that holds the turet on were on so tight and they are of such poor quality they stripped out when i was taking them off. Still havn't been able to find any new ones of that size. If you look in the picture you can see its not even on anymore. I would check into some of the other brands that make the .17hmr speacialty scope beofre i bought another one.
