Default 12-02-06 43 pound Beaver

I went to pull my traps today I found that they are still in the area. I thought I trapped them out since there was no activity. I pulled my traps anyway cause of the amount of rain causing the water level to rise 4-5 inches. On the plus side I just got premission to trap another area loaded with sign. Plus he said I can hunt there so thats an extra 20 acres of hunting and trapping ground! I haven't had a chance to deer hunt lately but who cares when your running a line. My dad called me later that day about another area he found with beaver sign so I made 2 qiuck sets before dark which I got a good felling about. Hope to have more fur tomorrow! Heres the pics.

A trapping license, a few traps and waders(for most beaver sets). Buy a few books about sets and you'll learn alot more on a line.

Check with your local game wardens. here you do not need a licence to trap but rather one if you wish to sell the fur. Waders are not a must i do not have a set and have trapped beaver for years however i usually find myself up to the tits at least a few times a year in ice cold water so they would be nice. I suggest taking some courses, reading some books etc. need some traps, a place to trap, a skinning setup etc. More to it than what meets the eye.
