Well you need a Call. Hand or electronic call. Rabbit in distress is probly the most popular. You need a varmit gun,
.22-250 .223 .222 .22 mag
(300+yrds)(200) (200) ( not much over a 100)
Those yardages might not be exactly right i am sure you can go farther. Those are just a guess the .22-250 i know is good for 300+.
You need Camo and scent free soap. Shooting sticks if you want em. ( there easy to make )
Good scope. Thats about it. Jsut grab a buddy and go out and call.

RE: New to coyote hunting
I took up the sport last year after we got froze out of the waterfowl early. All I know so far is that unless you live in the southwest, they are hard to kill. Smartest animals I have ever hunted. See them all the time going to work and goose hunting but calling them in is an entirely different story. They usually run them with dogs and 10-15 trucks with CB's around here. Best just hook up with someone that has done it before. Trying to do the same here but nobody even bothers calling them in my area. The ones that do usually end up shooting foxes and cats.

I here you totoe noone every mentions the .22 hornet.Derag said .22mag and didnt say anything about the hornet.More power than a .22mag less report then a .223. For work inside 100yrds what more could you ask for!
