C'mon Steve, there not a state in the Northeast that has a balanced B to D ratio. NY is certainly one of them. Are you saying it is balanced?? What is the B to D ratio then??What is your biologist...

No, thats a question for a biologist. But I can say with cofidence its not 1 to 1 or even 3 to 1. In areas of eastern NYI see 15-20 does for every buck.

What biological advantage/ benefit does NY's deer herd realize from an increased AR or QDM approach? Hunter satisfaction is NOT a reason (everyone's definition of satisfaction is different).

The reason some think it will work is bacause its already working in other states. You state NY has struggled for 100 years w/ one system. Why not...

Thats my point. If its purely to ID sex, then I should be able to take a 2" spike or even a buttonif I can ID that its a male. Playing Devils advocate of course...but the arguments made here against...

Off course I understand its to protect does. But it easy to use the same argumentsthat are against AR against this. Why does a 2" spike get to walk. Its a male deer right??
