0000 Steel Wool and kerosene rubbed lengthwise with the barrel will take the rust off and leave the bluing as long as the metal isn't pitted.

There may be moisture in the lining of the gun case...

I just happen to have a Winchester Model 92 saddle ring carbine in 25-20 but it isn't for sale. You might lookfor one of the foreign Winchester knockoffs that are being produced for cowboy action...

Up here in the mountains, its hard to get coyotes to come out in the open right after a big dump of snow. They like to stay in the trees (like the other animals) where it is easier to move around or...
