Anyone have a cool deer stand? (Need ideas!)

I want to build a deer stand on skids (this way it will classify as a "temporary structure" where I live, and I won't be subject to building permit fees.) And I'm not talking about just a plain, old,...

No respect for my 'NO TRESPASSING' signs...

I recently spent a few days making some very nice, professional 'No Trespassing' signs to put on my land. I made them using aluminum signs, square pieces of plywood, 2x4's, and slick white paint....

RE: Ordered a Moultrie 200!

Well I thought I'd update you all on my trail camera situation. My Moultrie 200 camera + the 1GB memory card are working fine, I'm glad I bought them and so far they've been quality.

The down...

Is it possible to make your own lake?

Hey guys,

Dumb hypothetical question: but say a person had like 40 acres of field-type land, could you dig a majority of it out and turn it into a deep pit and then put in some type of clay or...

RE: here is a picture of a doe

I would love to know what deer and other animals are thinking when the flash goes off and their picture is taken.

(Do they even think and process thoughts though?)

RE: Any land-smart people? Need help with shoreline/swamp...

That stuff looks real great for shoreline, I'll consider using that on the lake shoreline which should be slightly easier to deal with than the swamp.

How about the swamp I want to clear out,...

RE: Landowner permission

Exactly what they said. Now is also a good time to start saving yourself some money, maybe when you turn 18 you can buy some land like I did (of course it won't be 100 acres likely, but it's still a...

RE: Any land-smart people? Need help with shoreline/swamp...

What do you mean by "connected wetland", like is the swamp connected to the lake or something? If so, the swamp is entirely by itself and isn't connected to the lake in any way (the lake itself is a...

RE: Any land-smart people? Need help with shoreline/swamp...

Well, I want the shoreline to look better. A better looks means more valuable land. As for the swamp, I want to turn it into a duck pond.

Yeah I'll be sure to check with the authorities here....
