Thought I'd share a pic with everyone. Minnesota's opening morning turned out to be a pretty good one for me this year! 10pt, 205 lb.

RE: Official RACK PACK Thread(7)

Sorry to hear about your shoulder, andI hope you have a quick recovery. I've seen a couple of really nice bucks over Thanksgiving weekend, but I didn't get any shots, with the bow that is. I did get...

RE: Official RACK PACK Thread(7)

I've been out rifle hunting for the past 2 weekends, and our group has had some good success. A couple of really nice 10 pts were taken, and I got a nice 8 pt. I'll be back at with a bow on...

RE: Official RACK PACK Thread(7)

Well, I've seen deer just about every time that I've went out, but no shooters yet. Rifle season starts around here this weekend, but I'm going to try to take the bow out once more on Friday before I...

RE: Official RACK PACK Thread(7)

Congrats Hammer & BTB!!! Way to go! I've been hunting hard, and I've been seeing lotts of smaller deer. They're really starting to move around now, scrapes and rubs everywhere! I'll be out all this...

RE: Official RACK PACK Thread(7)

Well, my hunting partner back home had some great luck last night! He rattled this guy in and shot him at 25 yds. It's not the biggest one that's running around there, but one heck of a trophy.Now...

RE: Official RACK PACK Thread(7)

I let another small buck keep walking over the weekend. He responded nicely to the grunt call too. Saw lotts of does and I caught a glimpse of a really big buck as I was driving the ATV. It's fun...

RE: Official RACK PACK Thread(7)

Thanks for keeping tabs on me, guys. I'm still around, and I've been in the woods quite a bit. Spent 5 days last weekend out bear hunting in northern MN.....bears haven't been coming in too well yet...

RE: magnesium vs. aluminum risers

Comparing just the materials, magnesium and aluminum alloys, magnesium is not as stiff as aluminum and it is also softer (because of this, the mag risers are often thicker).Magnesium is lighter than...

RE: Hey fixed broadhead guys....

I think that supa has the right idea. If the feathers are not perfectly straight, the streamlines between the blades and the feathers won't match up anyway due to the arrow spinning. If the feathers...

RE: Gold Tip 5575 or 7595

I'm shooting the 75/95's cut at 29.5" with a 125 grn pt and they're working great. I went with this shaft for the extra weight, and I just cut them long so that the spine works out. You could easily...

RE: Fletching ?'s

The closer to the nock that the vanes are, the more effective they will be (moving them up or down slightly will probably not have much of a noticible effect though). I like to place them far enough...

RE: Broadhead/bareshaft tuning

No way! The broadheads are shot with the 5" helical feathered arrows. What I was getting at is that the bare shafts as well as the broadhead tipped feathered shafts are both hitting left of my field...

RE: Goldtip arrows

I was told by a local shop that the XT's and the Pro's are cut from the same line in the factory. The difference is that the Pro's are the best of the crop as far as tolerances go. I don't shoot well...

RE: Are Limbsavers and all the shock dampiners

In my opinion, limb savers/alpha shox are one of the best things that can be done for a bow regarding silencing and removing vibrations. By doing this, you also increase the life of your bow. As...

Broadhead/bareshaft tuning

I'm shooting an Hoyt Ultramag at 70 lbs and 29.5" draw with a Trophy Taker rest. I'm using Gold Tip 75/95 arrows at 29.5" with 125 grn tips and 5" helical feathers. When shooting bare shafts, they...

I shoot the same rest as well, and I've found that I slightly contact the rest if I shoot with the cock feather down. No problems when the cock feather is up though. Try putting a substance (baby...

Help on Hoyt grips!

Can anyone fill me in on the Hoyt AccuGrip? Can it fit on an Ultramag? The Hoyt website doesn't list that it does, however it sure looks like it would be close (maybe a bit of modification needed?)....
