RE: Goldtip arrows
If you read the specs on both types of arrows, they are better. I have both and I can't really tell the difference. Maybe some of the 3-D shooters on the forum can tell the difference but I can't. Hope that helped.

I was told by a local shop that the XT's and the Pro's are cut from the same line in the factory. The difference is that the Pro's are the best of the crop as far as tolerances go. I don't shoot well enough for the couple of thousandths to make a difference either.

MDE 86 is correct.
They are essentially the same shaft. The pro series shafts are graded for .001and w/i +/- 1g, where as the xt are graded at .003 and w/i +/- 2g. Basically you pay a premium for consistancy. IMO the less variables there are, the more consistant your shooting will be. For what I spend on archery, spending $100.00 (on IMO the best shafts on the market) is money well spent.
Just my $0.02 on the GT pro shafts.

On another note, I've been using the Expedition Hunters for about the last year or so and have been pretty happy with them. They're only graded at .006 and +/- 2g. I've had a lot of success with them and for the price, I couldn't pass them up.

Even though its only a few bucks difference a dozen, I'm not paying more for the same exact shaft. The tolerances of "The pro series shafts are graded for .001and w/i +/- 1g, where as the xt are graded at .003 and w/i +/- 2g" are max tolerances. At the very most thats what they will be off. If you buy a dozen XT's, there's not a doubt in my mind that the entire dozen could all be within the Pro tolerances. I don't shoot at x rings, so I think I'll stick with the XT's.

I have both and for some reason, the XTs shoot a lot more consistently with broadheads than the Pros. Makes no sense to me, but I've shot both a lot and it always turns out that way. I'll be hunting with the XTs as a result.

I cant imagine a noticeable difference at least at the limits of myworld of archery. If I can drill a nickel at 20 yards I think theXT's are enough.
PS. If you never had the camo, be warned. They do make more noise on the draw than the plain black shafts
