RE: wisconsin eradication zone

The HRZ and EZ never will work unless they're trying to ruin hunting for years. It's a fact that trying to kill all of the deer in an area won't work.

The DNR saysthe numbers are too highbut...

RE: Carbon vs Aluminum

When a bow lists what the fps is, I'm assuming it's for carbon arrows right. How much faster are carbons than aluminum? What would a 2114 easton be comparable to for weight with a carbon? Have carbon...

Scope mounting question Savage 340C

I have a Savage model 340C in 30/30 caliber. I used to have a side-mount scope on it and the scope went bad (came loose on the inside). It wasn't an expensive scope and lasted about 12 years, so I'm...

Cleaning rods

Where can I get a solid one piece cleaning rod? I'd prefer steel, I'm tired of dealing with the Outers universal cleaning kits with the cheap aluminum that snaps where you screw the pieces together....

RE: Whats the punishment for poaching in mn?

Is the person poaching to eat the deer or poaching to get a big rack or just for the thrill of it? To me there is a difference. Some people do not like to receive government assistance and would...

RE: .17 HMR

Would the 17HMR be a decent gun for coon or would a 22Mag be the better choice? I may try calling coon this year and I' m looking at buying a new gun. Would the 17HMR have too much fur damage?

RE: .17 HMR VS. .22 WMR (What' s the big deal?)

What would you really use the 17HMR for as far as animals go? Is it too much gun for calling raccoons at night, would it be better than a 22 Mag for this use? I' m looking at getting a 22 Mag to use...

RE: Wisconsin DNR and CWD

It wasn't my deer but a farmer from my area. I also think the DNR has started something with the CWD scare that they now have absolutely no way of controlling. If they keep it up (which they will)...

Wisconsin DNR and CWD

This was in the Grant County Herald Independent, unfortunately they're not online. This isn't me but this guy farms a few miles from my house.

On Sunday Nov. 24 he shot an 11 point buck in Patch...
