You can't go wrong with a nice used rifle, either. This would actually get you a better gun, with the price tag you want. You could get one of these for around/under $600, used but in new condition....

Well I've already killed a couple with the bow, but rifle season opens up on saturday up here, and with my line of work I can hunt every day of the week. So I am really pumped to use my new X bolt.

Don't go cheap on your optics. It's really worth spending a little more for a decent scope. Nikon, Leupold, Vortex, and Burris all make good affordable scopes.

The new muzzy trocars are a step in the right direction, they ditched the aluminum ferrule and went to a steel ferrule. Better flight with the new helical blades, and better durability.
