Does NY have an Adverse Possession law?? If so,the other guy may be able to claim a portion of your land. If he can show that he has maintained that portion as if it were his own for whatever number...

If the land is your's, it is your's to do whatever you see fit. As long as whatever you do is within the scope of the law. I would consult ENCON, as far as the issue of scaring horses. Be courteous...

If the shot was taken at that distance (250-300 yards) It may be possible that it still had enough velocity to penetrate to a vital organ. But not with enough of a "punch" to alarm the animal. Hence...

Save your ammo and get a boresight kit. That should get you on the paper at 100 yards. Adjust from there.

Red oak leaves lobe ends are pointed whereas the white oak have rounded lobes. Deer prefer the white oak acorns.
