I am a taxidermist and I see a lot of weird stuff like that all the time. I believe what you have is a cyst that I have found in many deer. It is not bad if it does not have an odor to it....

Deer hunting isn,t as hard as they make it seem in books and on TV. Your best bet is to scout your land that you are going to hunt and findthe deer trails and other deer sign such as old or new...

Itwould not hurt to use a grunt or a can or a rattle, just dont overdo it. What I do is tie my rattle antlers to a rope and bouce them off the ground from up in the stand. This makes a lot of noise...
