.24 cal in any barrel lenth is legal for deer.
The old handgun law changed a couple of years ago

Zeiss conquest are great scopes their glass is much better than leupold or burris and eye relief stays the same thru-out power range, others you have to get closer to the scope at higher power.I have...

By the way I do like Nikon scopes even the Buckmasters they hold zero very well, just think leup.VXIII and Zeiss have much better glass

Legal shooting time here is 30 mins beforesunriseto 30 mins after sun set.50mm obj pulls in much more light.

Zeiss Conquest 3-9x40 $405 3-9x50 $469 50mm is worth the extra $69 you wa'nt be sorry Lueppy 3.5-10x50 VXIII $449 I'd streeeech my budget alittle even if I had to wait a month or so.

Try theopticzone.com they have great prices+free shipping.Checkout Zeiss Conquest 3-9x50.As far as Leupold goes I wouldnt get anything less than VXIII they are much better than VXIIs

I have 3.5-10x50 Conquest mounted in med. rings on rem. 700 LA and still have 1/8 to 3/16 clearance cheekweld is perfect
