Question What kind of plant is this?

I'm trying to figure out what this is. Is it just a weed or is it a specific kind of forage? I didn't plant it...

It looks a lot like Sicklepod, but I'm not 100% certain.

That could be. All I did was till the ground and lay down some lime.

It is poisonous in any form, live, dry, seed etc. Will kill livestock and just about anything else that eats it. Maybe a controlled burn would be your best bet. Herbicides will be costly and not guaranteed to kill down to the root or seed bed.

that is sicklepod for sure, its hard to get rid of. best way is pull it up roots and all
herbicides won't do much to it. pull it up before it goes to seed!!!

That's what we're currently doing. We went out there last week and did a little more than half the plot by hand. Then I went back over the spots we did with herbicide. We're gonna finish it off this week and then I'm gonna plant.
