More neck problems

As stated in previous post, I tried 3 other types of .308 bullets and they all seated fine, I called Nosler, and as soon as I mentioned it the tech said that yes some of them have the wrong angle on the jacket, and to send him a couple to test and they would send me a new box. I mailed them out yesterday, hope they take care of me!!!! I hope this isnt a commonplace with the accubonds, I really like them, and they shoot good in 3 of the rifles I reload for!!

I'm sure they will take care of you bad press isn't good at all in the shooting sports industry. I also would not look at this as a reason not to buy from them either. All good companies have little problems here and there this is probabally one of them. Like the T/C Shockwaves I bought last fall with oversized sabots T/C found out they had a problem and shipped me off new ones for free they also sent a batch of the Shockwaves with the new sabots for free.

If you measure the outside diameter of the bullet at different points, you will find that the length of the bullet that is actually .308" in diameter is very short, especially on a boattail bullet.
For 30 caliber cartridges, I no longer use the expander ball. I use a universal decapping die, then FL RCBS die without the expander ball, then use a Lyman 'M' die to expand the caseneck and put a small flare on the neck to make seating bullets easier.
Its a few extra steps, but you end up not having to worry about lubing/delubing the inside of the case neck, stretching the case neck unevenly when the expander ball is pulled out of the case, and having the little flair on the neck prevents bullets from being scratched when seated.
