Loading 22-250. The virgin Winchester brass has (as does all new brass)
punched flash holes. My question is: in order to make the flash round
what is the best way to do it. The RCBS flash tool is handy but will not really round out a hole.
Thank's for any help.
P.S. It doesn't make good sence to me to trim , turn the neck, uniform
the primer pocket only to have a out of round flash hole.

I usually just use the RCBS Flash Hole Deburring tool. If the flash hole is off center, or out of round I seperate them and use them for plinking. I guess one can find the right size bit and round them out. Good luck.

Thats a 10-4 on wasting your time with the flash holes myself and others around have tested lots of rounds to see if t made a difference and we could not tell any at all.
Now days I barely clean the primer pockets and I shoot rifle comps in Arkansas Oklahoma and Texas.

They can be drilled out to make them round and uniform in size. It won't make much difference but if you are trying to EEK out the last drop of accuracy and uniformity then its a good option to do. All the little things make a difference in the end.
