Liquid case cleaners are no replacement for a tumbler, most reloaders use both. Myself I use Apple Cider Vinegar to clean them then it's into the Tumbler with corcob media treated wwith Flitz Polish.

I've used liquid case cleaner and it sure won't do the job that my tumbler will! If you want a polish job on your brass that is better than new, then you'll need a tumbler. I use corn cob media treated with Iosso brass polish. Does a real nice job!

I'm not "most reloaders" then, because I have not, nor do I intend to, use liquid case cleaning solutions. Seen to be way too much of a PITA, and won't polish the cases so they still need to be tumbled when done. I suppose if I handloaded for a lot of semi-autos that flung their brass all over hell and back, or if I were the type to pick up spent brass at the range, which I'm not (if I didn't fire it, I won't reload it), and I were trying to clean up some really grungy brass, I might consider it for use on a very limited basis.

I use my vibratory tumbler with a 50/50 mix of fine ground walnut/corncob bedding (the type that can be bought in a pet store), treated with Iosso Polish. The walnut takes care of any scrubbing, and the corncob polishes the brass to a better than new sheen. Works like a charm, and is as hassle free as possible.
