I currently have a rock chucker press Im gonna put the piggy back progressive attachment on. Im wanting to buy another single stage press the choices I have are another rcbs rockchucker that is used but in excellent condition for $40. I really like the looks of lee's new cast iron press which i can get for $62.99. should i go with the lee press or stick with something i already know is a good product? just looking for opinions here.

First off How much are you spending on the Piggy Back ? New or used ?
The reason I ask is several years ago I had 1 ,bigist waist of $$ ever .
I had nothing but problems and ended up selling it after 6 mounths for 1/3 of what I paid for it.
RCBS may have fixed the problems I had with the III.
But If it new and you need to buy a "new" press and a Piggy back III ($319.99) you can buy a real progressive press .
After I dumped the Piggy Back I picked up a new Dillon 550B press ($329.99) and love it .
Dillon coustomer service is next to non .
I broke (my fault) a small primer punch this fall after having it 5 years ,called Dillon to buy a new punch ,they sent me a new punck in the mail for free ,told me the press has a life time warenty.
IMO buy a Dillon over a new Piggy back III

If you do a lot of loading a turret press is well worth the money IMO, I got lucky and got a great one through hand me down, love it!!!

its a new piggy back III, I got it from my brother for my birthday just havent messed with it yet. A dillon 550 is deffinately on my list to get, a gun shop down the road sells the 550B for $260.99 at the moment thats a bit out of my reach especially i just bought a new pistol and a rifle so my budget is a bit low right now, I wanted a progressive setup for my pistol cartridges but prefer to load my rifle cartridges with a single stage press.

Ok ,no Dillon so.
I tryed a Lee cast iron press at a friends ,it seams to be good ,but after years of use ,I don't know.
The RCBS RockChucker is proven will last just about for ever if taken care of.
IMO the Rock Chucker is the way I would go.

If you can get a used Rockchucker for $40, vs the Lee at $63, get the Rockchucker. The difference betwen them is the same between enie and menie. Both good products that will last indefinately, given reasonable care. I'd buy the cheaper one, in this case.
I still ocasionaly use a RCBS JR, or a Le turret press, but the bulk of my larger quantities are done on a Dillon 550B. I got a great deal on a second used Dillon, so I will have one set up for large primers, and one for small primers.
