I shoot a .300 win mag. 150, 165, 168 and 180gr. bullet. I've played around with 4895, IMR4350, XMR3100, and H1000. I've had good luck with 4350, but thinking of revisiting some of my old powders or looking into something new. What effect will burn rate have on bullet performance. Right now my loading 168gr. HPBT with 74.2 ga IMR4350. I shoot a 700 BDL and am looking to improve 300yd plus shooting.

There is no way to predict the accuracy a load will deliver without shooting it in your gun.I try several powders before selecting my final load for a new rifle and the choice of powder can have a major effect on accuracy.

incase you didn't see my reply in the other post:
give Reloader 22 a try for the 165/168 gr pills. RL19 will work UP TO 150 faily well but you will probably get the same results with RL 22. You could try RL 25 for the 180's but 22 will work for this gr. If you try 200gr or better use 25 as it is on par with IMR1000.
Are you showing any pressure signs at 74.2 grs?

I do get some shiney spots and some metal fatigue, but this is usually on some of my older cases. These I throw out, I just rechecked my last group of reloads and they look pretty good.
What size load would you use for 165/168gr. Noslers.
