Hey y'all,
I recently bought a Ruger 77/44 w/18.5" barrel. Does anyone have a good load (possibly with velocity and other pertinent info) using W296--or other powders--and either a 240gr or 300gr XTP? I'm trying to work up a good deer load for next season. Thanks a bunch.

Try a 240 grain bullet with 25 grains of Win 296....this should put you at about 1800'/sec.
H110 seems to be the best powder...26.1 grains will give you 1900'/sec...
Reduce these loads by 10% for handguns.....
