44 mag rifle loads

Hey y'all,
I recently bought a Ruger 77/44 w/18.5" barrel. Does anyone have a good load (possibly with velocity and other pertinent info) using W296--or other powders--and either a 240gr or 300gr XTP? I'm trying to work up a good deer load for next season. Thanks a bunch.

Try a 240 grain bullet with 25 grains of Win 296....this should put you at about 1800'/sec.

H110 seems to be the best powder...26.1 grains will give you 1900'/sec...

Reduce these loads by 10% for handguns.....

vdog,
Any idea of pressures w/ either loads? Also how is recoil with the reduced handgun loads?

Go to www.handloads.com I saw some loads for the 44 Rem. Mag. Rifle and Handgun there. Good luck.
