The only bullet I ever used for a .243 is Sierra 85gr BTHP! I have killed a lot of deer over the years with it and the deer "drop" were the stand...<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

.358 I have used speer 85 gr btsptz and sierra 85 gr bthp ,they both shoot great but I want a more controled expansion so I have switched to barnes 85 gr bt(x) . It seems to be working fine so far, good exp.and penetration .

I was a confirmed user of Hornady's 87 grain spire point and also liked the sierra 85 hpbt. This till the feral hogs in my area grew up to monster size and I started using my 30-06. The 87 is a bit more controlled than the 85hpbt but both killed deer quick.
