Range day was great. As soon as I down size my pics I will post them. I got my new Remington 700 30.06 all sighted in. I made a deer out of a sawhorse and old carpet. It holds a jug of water right in the sweet spot of the chest cavity so when you hit your mark, you hear and see a reaction. Its awesome. I set it out to two hundred yards. I was grouping well at 50 & 100 yards and hit a few jugs at 200. First shot at my home made deer, called it right behind the shoulder and I was rewarded with the sound of the water jug exploding and my buddy on th espottign scope saw the water spray out of the chest area and the shreded jug out the back. You can see the exit holes out of the carpet but the entrance holes are tough to see. We had put one jug out to three hundred yards and that was for more or less a shoot off. (We do one every range day....bragging rights till the next range day) Anyhow, I took the first shot and went high just a tad, still would have been a kill shot, I just missed the jug. His was right on. Sent the jug about 5 feet in the air and just shredded it. So, a three hundred yard shot is my limit so far. I will do my best to get my pics up for you soon.

H4198 and IMR4198 are very close, but not quite the same. Start with a reduced load and work up.
FWIW, for 69-80 gr bullets, I get the best results with RL-15, with Varget being a very good backup powder, but these are very hot loads out of a Wylde chamber.
