No one has used the tipped one.

It is not available yet.

From the pics I have seen of it it will look like a Barnes MRX on the outside with the same wide rings, boat tail baseand a polymer tipbut built the same internally as a TBBC.

I think the loaded ammo is available...? Just not the bullets alone.

I think Trophy bonded bullets took a nosedive once Federal bought out Jack Carter. I was at the range last year and a guy shooting a 260 had some that looked they had been heated and turnedblue because evidently they are annealed .. They shot very quirky and according to the shooter it was the worst batch of TB's he had purchased and was going to bring them back. They tended to stick and therefore raise pressure and their BC was not the greatest. In most cases BC was not an issue but since everyone else is going to high BC bullets they didn'[t want to be left behind. Grooves address the stickiness issue. I still think that before long lead bullets will be outlawed and when they do the TB bullet will be history since it works with lead remove the lead and you have a glorified TTSX.

IMO, the original TBBC sucked, it built up too much pressure so quick, it was like a naked barnes X. It copper fouled a barrel so bad, it took an hour to get it out. And they wasn't the most accurate bullets in the world usually. So if they found a way to make them copper foul less, be more dynamic in various barrel diameters, like the TSX, and better BC, then they will have a winner. I have loaded the TSX since it came out, and performance on game is great. But would trust the carter design more. All shots with the TSX has been shoulder shots which really tore thru like a tornado. Now, the orig. TBBC did perform awesome on a moose for me several years ago. Just very finicky, they were hard to find even on the net to order.

It could be, welcome to uninformed magazines [:@]. I e-mailed Speer and the bullets won't be ready until later this year, but I thought the mag said that loaded ammo is ready to go. I'll have to find the article.

And to top it off, TSX's do not foul a barrel anymore than a partition or gameking.
