Has anyone tried this powder in the 7RUM since Retumbo won't be available for awhile still. They both are "extreme" powders and shouldn't be changing point of impact from winter to summer. I like to load all year and shoot to the same POI no matter the temp.

For my RUM's, its my favorite powder. Seems to do ok with the lighter bullets, and great with the mid range bullets. For lighter bullets, 4350 or Re22 will suit your purpose better. But its a all around good powder. For the heavier bullets, Retumbo or Re25 will do the trick. Stay away from 870 however. I had bad results with fouling, velocity, and accuracy. And Hodgedon is pulling it.

Thanks bc and rscott,
just so it doesn't look like Hodgdon's fault 870 was a military surplus powder that is finally exhausted. They were selling it to people who were used to using it for the last 25 years. Hodgdon themselves makes wonderful more versatile powders in their own line.
