Another Moly Question

Want some opinions from people who really know and done this. Ok, guys kinda bored over the winter, and figured I would try something new. So I figured I could try moly. All the friends I know that use moly have guns exclusively using moly bullets only. In other words, they have moly'd the barrel, and they don't clean out the moly.
But I don't want to go that route. But would like to try the moly bullets. When you shoot these, and if you don't like them, will you get the same performance out of your naked bullets that you did before. In other words I was talking to my machinist. He was telling me that in heavy machines, Moly inbedes itself in metal and I might not be able to get it all out.

The Machinist man,has told you the facts ! There is, actually ,very little advantage to using moly, other than in a big bore gun. Besides, the moly craze, has almost completly passed by !
I have read about shooters, taking gun barrels and sawing them in half, length ways,to see what was up with the moly. The moly had built up and was layered with copper fouling.
Anyways, IMHO,to use it,once in a while,is like being half pregnant ?<img src=icon_smile_dead.gif border=0 align=middle>

Well, I wouldn't say the moly craze passed by. If you shoot barnes, which I know may not be exactly MD, I believe you need something like this or bearclaws which copper my gun up so bad, it takes a month of sundays to clear out.
But you are probably right, may not be worth my time or energy.

Moly has been around long enough that if there was actual benefits, it'd be known.......there's still a lot of folks that believe it extends the time between cleanings.
I personally believe the advantages are totally mythical!!!
