I spend a lot of time working in Chinese factories to fix their screw ups. You would be totally surprised at how much stuff is made there and then 'finished' or 'added to' or 'enhanced'once it gets here and then it can legally be stamped Made in USA.

Well if a $60,000 yearly income makes it hard for you other people to function no wonder I'm having a hard time! I'm making less than half that ammount, and yes the executives are making very large salires. One large textile company here was having financial problems, so they decided to hire a new ceo. After giving him a $7 milliom sign on bonus and a 3.5 million annual salarie, he proceded to dismantle the company. Stock prices went to hell and the layoffs started! There used to be 14,000 employees, now there's about 1,300! But as for the RCBS Rockchucker supreme press, if it's really made in China, i'm sure the price in my Midway catalog must be an error. At $109 this can't be right, according to the way you guys say tennis shoes and clothes and electronics have dropped in price this press shouldn't be more than $45- $50 . The truth is that modern production equipment and advancements in assembly technics have far more to do with lower prices than making products off shore. Cnc machines are much faster than chineese hands, and don't require the thousands of miles of shipping. Besides the number of mexican workers in this country make going offshore unnessary any way!!

Just curious, what kind of price difference are there between the two? Are you talking about a substantial amount??

Isn't it amazing that it's cheaper to ship something that heavyacross the Pacific, than to pay workers to build it here.
I'm with High Desert Wolf. I'll pay more to buy American, quality goods if I can find it.

Like it or not,the list of American made products is constantly shrinking. There are fewer and fewer totally American made guns and even fewer totallyAmerican made scopes. In fact the list of scopes using American made lenses is even more limited.

It's pretty much the same here if not worse.Canadians are more neutral consumers in that we buy more for value for the price with less concern about where a product is manufactured.I work in the oilsands industry, and a lot moreof our equipmentis comingfrom either Europe or Japan.I myself drive a Canadian made Toyota car, have a U.S. made Toyota truck on order, ride a U.S. built honda atv,and a European designed Harley. However,I chose each for the value for the dollar, not because they are all made in North America.
